Our Story
We’re Audrée and René, a daughter and her dad... and apparently two people who looked at grief and thought, you know what this needs? 100 kilometres.
Over the past year, cancer changed our family forever. We lost Cecile, René’s mom and Audrée’s grandmother, and Diane, René’s sister-in-law and Audrée’s aunt.
They were part of the rhythm of our family, the calls, the dinners, the stories we’d give anything to hear once more.
The idea to run 100 km was Audrée’s. Not because running fixes grief. It doesn’t. But doing nothing didn’t feel right either.
So this October, we’re running 100 kilometres in their honour, raising money for cancer care and prevention through the Blanche River Health Foundation.
We can’t change what happened to them... but we can decide what happens because of it.
100 KM. Two names. One purpose.
For Cecile. For Diane.
